The National Fire Protection Association Conference and Expo is the largest fire, life safety, and electrical event in the world, and one of the most important dates in the calendar for anyone working in the institutional fire alarm space. Harding Technologies will be attending NFPA Conference and Expo 2026, and we are going in with something worth talking about.
For those less familiar with it, the NFPA Conference and Expo brings together fire protection engineers, electrical contractors, code officials, facility managers, and life safety product manufacturers from across North America and beyond. The conference side of the event covers code development, standards updates, and technical education across the full range of NFPA standards. The expo floor is where manufacturers and distributors demonstrate what those standards look like in practice, with working systems, technical consultations, and hands-on engagement with the latest products.
For specifying engineers, electrical contractors, and facility managers, the conference is one of the most concentrated opportunities of the year to stay current on code changes, understand how new products have been tested and listed, and build or renew relationships with the suppliers who will be part of their next projects. For Harding, it is a chance to show what the Advanced AX fire alarm system can do at the highest level of technical scrutiny.

Ahead of the conference, we want to share an installation that shows exactly what the Advanced Axis AX fire alarm panel looks like when it is doing serious work. This high-rise project, completed in partnership with Hayden Systems Inc., is the kind of installation that demonstrates the three things the AX panel is most consistently praised for: high performance across a complex multi-zone environment, an installation process that does not add unnecessary complexity for the contractor, and a scalable architecture that grows with the building rather than needing to be replaced when requirements change.
High-rise fire alarm installations are among the most technically demanding projects in the commercial and institutional sector. The size of the building, the number of devices, the code requirements around voice evacuation, the need for network communication across multiple floors and elevator shafts, all of these create a specification environment where a panel that cannot scale cleanly or integrate reliably becomes a significant problem.
